I was tasked with promoting a day-long event consisting of seven straight hours of guitar lessons from some of the top players in Southern California. Tickets were $99, or $200 for the VIP treatment, and we sold it out.
I ran a paid Facebook campaign with two separate strategies. The first was driving potential participants to a funnel that opened with a video of the founder of the conference. That funnel led to a Ticketbud page. The second strategy was to drive engagement on the Facebook page and Facebook event page. We created a contest for a free ticket, in which the user entered by clicking ‘interested’ on the event page. Once there, we were able to post updates and content on the pages which went out to peoples’ feed for free. We also did a few $10 off flash sales during Father’s Day and July 4th.
The conference was a huge success, and a second one is being planned for 2019.
